- Fetters

The place of the party where his girlfriend disappeared
This villa was the home of his friend John’s parents. They celebrated a football victory there when Mark’s girlfriend disappeared after a minor fight between them two. The argument they had was of course presented in the court and changed the jury’s point of view. Several of his friends testified on that the last time they saw Mark and his girlfriend, they were arguing.

The shower-room
This is in Larsen Penitentiary where he was battered to death by Stingray. That time no guards broke up nor did anyone discovered the incident until the day after. Perhaps the guards where bribed to stay away, who knows? Mark should have some own thought about this as a probably cause why they weren’t there and if investigating such, he can roll a passion roll whenever appropriate.

A homemade baseball bat
This is the murder-weapon Stingray used to crush his skull into four pieces according to the coroner. He has no idea where this bat is, however he feels a strong feeling that it is still inside the penitentiary’s walls. The truth is that a guard has taken it and has stashed it in the prison boiler-room and forgot about it. Mark has never dared to venture the cellar and the boiler-room after have heard rumors of powerful spectres once.

Parents
The married white couple Jonathan and Elisa Randall was the only ones who supported him in his fight to clear his name and claim his innocence. They still believe their sons innocence and often visits the grave in Oakland Cemetery.

Girlfriends grave
Only a couple of gravestones away is Mark’s girlfriend’s grave. It is a tiny gravestone since the lack of money they parents suffered from, and Mark have some thought in replacing the stone to a more noble one.

A football cup
This cup was rewarded to him and his team after a great success against a team from Nevada. All the players names are engraved on the cup. This is a source of pride and honor for Mike Randall. An icon or symbol for what his life could have been. After all he could have been a professional NFL player and this is a source of some of his passions.

Innocent until proven guilty, It doesn't mean shit!
I was proven guilty even if I was innocent!

Dark Passions

Hurt all niggers (Hate)
Mark has always felt unpleasant with the black mans presence but didn’t develop to pure hatred until he was murdered by one. The Shadow realized that this was a feeling he could exploit to far extents and always shows his disrespect for black and colored people.
Be the best Football player (Greed)
The Shadows memory of its host was that he was the best darn ball player around and that nothing could threaten that. The Shadow, as his "only true friend" will go to far extents to keep this feeling of being the best player, even hurt those who shows success in Football or perhaps success as a general term.
Kill murder (Revenge)
Out of this feeling does the Shadow feed a lot from, the line between revenge and killing is hairthin but the Shadow’s passion is to murder the murderer in cold blood, and gives many ideas of perverse and bizarre methods. The Shadow has a lot to give when it serves this purpose and the line between killing and revenging is hair thin.
Betray Joanne (Lust)
His sexualpartner is gone and after all he is still a male with such feelings. This passion always tries to convince Mark that his love is lost and was not as good as those sexy babes hanging around red-light district. Even if Joanne is dead, Mark would consider having a sexual affair with another woman to be betrayal, after all he is raised with southern Christian ideals.

Passions

Revenge murder (Revenge)
This is Mark’s driving passions along with proving his innocence (see below). Mark knows a lot about his murderer. He found out by a coincidence that a black person under the alias Stingray killed and raped those three girls Mark was convicted in doing. He found out that the same man was inside the same prison as himself though just for a misdemeanor, serving 12 months now on his 10th. He even tried to kill the man with his bare hands but failed this due to a couple of guards broke them up. Mark has some degree of respect to him but is not sure of what he did, he think it was some sort of club but it could have been a hard knock-out.
Clear family name (Pride)
He really didn’t do any of the crimes he was convicted for. The only thing he did was to have an argue with his girlfriend and this lead to life in prison with no chance of parole, he barely got the Gas Chamber. His utter most driving passion is to clear his family name and prove his innocence, but can he do that? Especially since he is dead?
Find Joanne (Love)
This is the love of his life, his glow in the darkness. He knows that if he turned into a wraith so must she have been. He can almost feel her presence in the Shadowland. Will he find her?
Honor Joannes death (Respect)
Joanne’s gravestone is a very little and looks very poor. Mark thinks this dishonors her memory and he would go to far extents to replace the memorial place of his love.

- Possible Outcomes
Mark could be a potential member of the Sons of the Imperial Dragon and there could be some fascinating intrigues within the circle since one of its members are out of black heritage. Will he venture the prison basement and find out what is his fetter? Perhaps revenge his murderer and thus resolve some fetters. This character has potential when it comes to Wraith politics, many groups would see him as a member of their fraction and he can make a lot of good and trusting friends but as well many powerful enemies sworn to kill him.
