Wraith: The Oblivion
Who would have known that Atlanta houses one of the largest population with vampires, well atleast not me. In fact it came as a shock to me when I for a fact saw that their existence where obvious. It sort of terrified me when I realized how very mortal I felt compared towards these beasts, or perhaps I should say the evolutions answer to overpopulation.
It was during a visit to one of the more popular nightclubs I first saw signs of their existence. After a couple of drinks at this place called The Masquerade I was approached by a beautiful woman who called herself Valerie. I thought my happiness was made that evening and the trip that I’ve made to Atlanta, GA wouldn’t be so lonely after all. The Masquerade was a club in neo-gothic style and it was stuffed with all kinds of people mostly what appeared to be rich youths. Perhaps a hot spot for the rich and famous, who knows? So anyway Valerie and I sat down at this table at the far end of the club and enjoyed a couple of drinks and had a chat about life in general, nothing serious but she looked pretty interested to me and that was the whole idea, at least I thought.
It didn’t come as a chock to me when she thought that we should leave the place and perhaps retire at my hotel. I stayed at Sheraton Suites in northern, almost in the same county as Marietta. The drive to the hotel went pretty fast much due to her knowledge of the city’s web of roads. As a foreigner one can easily get lost in the chaotic road net in Atlanta, at least that’s my opinion and I’m entitled to it.
She was just right after 3 a.m when we parked the rented Cadillac DeVille on the fourth floor of the parking house. We had to take the elevator down to first flour and the enter via the main entrance and lobby. I remembered who the black woman looked after me and Valerie as we stepped to the left and disappeared behind the corner and up the elevator. I lived on the 14th flour, the club level and my suite was equipped well with a fax machine, two TVs and a large king size bed.

As soon as we had made our way into my room she started to undress in a very sexy and exotic series of moves. I took of my suits jacket and placed it on a hanger and took of my shoes and sat down at the end of the bed. She was very beautiful, a pair of long legs, beautiful blue eyes and shoulder length brown silky hair. In fact her resemblance to Tiffany that plays Valerie in 90210 was quite remarkable, though she was a little thinner and without the mole in her face. She was perfect with a firm body and all and now she stood there in front of my bed dressed in a set of sexy lingerie.

We made love that night and when I woke up the following night she was gone. I had a severe headache and felt rather weak actually so I ordered up a couple of aspirins. I slept almost the entire day and missed the meeting I was supposed to have that day with the sales director for a very large company that where considering selling our product. Great, I thought, this was just my usual luck though on the other hand at least nothing where itching, one can never know nowadays. When I got up the following evening and looked in the mirror I noticed that I was very pale almost as if I’ve been drained from blood and this my friend was the beginning of a very strange series of events.

Around six a clock I went down to the lobby and to the front desk. The black woman working there yesterday greeted me with a smile as I approached her. I asked her if I had any messages, which I did, and then I queried about the woman I’d brought with me last night. She answered me that she never saw no woman. I remember I shrugged my shoulders and headed for my car in the parking house. I felt a little bit tired and down the entire and though it was almost a hundred degrees outside I was freezing. I took the elevator to the flour where I’d parked the car and walked over to the car and noticed a red rose and a note carefully placed on the windshield. The note said ‘Thanks hon! Val’. That night I went back to the Masquerade and tried to find Valerie but without luck. I gave up the search around 1 a.m. and headed out to where I’d parked my car. After passing the bouncers and out the entrance I saw flashing blue lights. Probably just nothing I thought, but when I got out and saw what was going on I saw three squad cars with their blue light. The officers where talking to a man dressed in a wide coat. He looked Italian and was surrounded by a numerous amount of guards. An ambulance showed up and the medics forced their way through the crowed and picked up a black bag, a body bag and placed it in the ambulance. There among the crowed you noticed Valerie. She was standing right next to one of the guards, talking to him, as if she knew him quite well.

... to be continued if someone encourage me ...
