Wraith: The Oblivion

Timothy Jonathan Roeder - Mr. Perfect

How could a man forgive such a
stupid creature as the woman?

Played by: Fredrich Lund
Timothy was before his death a successful businessman dealing with machineparts and had built himself an empire with its base in Atlanta. He was the single executive for a company who employed over six thousand persons all over the world. He was somehow driven by an inner voice telling him that he could do better.
Timothy was killed by his wife and her lover, much due to his malevolent behavior towards her. He abused her and he drank a lot the last few years of his mortal life. His wife couldn’t stand this so she and the lover, Martin Guildo, took away the brakes on Tim’s 1995 Buick. Tim drove out from a sharp curve when he tried to brake for an animal, and now he is driven by a burning passion to revenge this murder.

- Fetters

The Office downtown
This was more or less his home. It was here he made love with his secretary Mary-Louise Anne. It was here where he spent hours looking out the city and dreaming about his parents and grandparents back in Poland. This is where he ran his empire. He’ll let no one in his office and tries to scare the heck out of everyone who tries to.

Family clock
In his office he keeps an old clock who he got from his father. The clock dates generations back and was made in Austria 1841 by an ancestor to him. The clock is actually the source of an ancient curse who is laid upon the Röder family (He took the name Roeder when he came to the US.). The curse will bring luck and success to the one who owns it but will bring them down at the top of their career, and force them to live in the Underworld, just as it did to his great-grandfather and great-great grandfather. The resent generations wasn’t affected by the curse.

Wife and lovers house
This was once his own mansion, built with his money. Here did he spend a couple of happy years with his wife Joanne and sometimes he even miss those years. No he haunts the house trying to scare the wife and lover out of there as a part of his revenge. This could be developed as his personal haunt with a little dedication and roleplaying.

A 1995 Buick
This was the car he died in. He spent his last few minutes here waiting for the gas tank to blow up as he felt the pain in his neck, arms and breast. This fetter is currently in a compound waiting to be scraped, this would be terrible if it happened. Somehow he must save his fetter from being destroyed.

- Passions

Although there are no words,
my spirit is set free,
by the feeling,
and passion,
behind the keys....

Passions

Revenge murder (revenge)
This is his driving passion. He was on the top of the career and his wife ruined this by killing him and sending him to what he would call living hell. Somehow he must revenge the murder.
Correct others mistakes (pride)
He hates mistakes. Everything must be perfect in his world. It is the main key to success and if people doesn’t know this he must teach them this. He knows that he is perfect though sometimes he doubts it when his Shadow claims the opposite calling him a failure etc. He could sometimes preach about the importance of success and sometimes he get cynical.
Forgive women for being so stupid (love)
Women are so stupid, he believes that with all his heart but are willing to forgive them since they shouldn’t have the kind of responsibility laid upon them by the world. Sometimes he blames the western civilization and therefore he’ll forgive them, even if his wife killed him which was a result of to much responsibility, and women can’t handle responsibility.
Preserve his empire (pride)
He built his business empire with his own hands, working from the bottom as a emigrant with no money from Poland to a rich and wealthy American. The American Dream is somewhat personalized in Tim.

Dark Passions

Hurt hosts self-esteem (Hate)
His Shadow is driven by this passion. He must show that his host is a complete failure and that he better throw himself to Oblivion. Often his Shadow tries to convince Tim that things that he have done wasn’t really perfect but was really a complete failure that will hurt and damage more than bring success and wealth.
Humiliate women (Hate)
Women are so stupid that they deserve to know it. At least the Shadow tries to convince his Host to tell women that whenever they have unsuccessfully completed a task. This is a very strong and complex passion related to his inner thoughts and values about women, which is much influenced by the fact that a woman killed him. His psyche is continuously struggling with the Shadow, to convince that it is possible to forgive rather then to humiliate.

- The Shadow
Tim’s Shadow is the Perfectionist and suits the overall concepts more than well. There is a continuously battle between the Psyche and the Shadow. How long will he be able to hold the facade that he really is perfect? Will the Shadow convince him that he is a complete failure? How will the hatred towards women affect his relation with others? The Shadow is always standing by, awaiting a single mistake from its host which he will exploit and use to bring him down. The Shadow would always try to convince its host that he is a failure.

- The Shadowland
When Tim woke up from what he believed to be a long sleep he found himself with some possessions, among them a Masque of Tragedy. Tim suffers from some sort of amnesia and can’t remember what happened to him before the long sleep. He is fully aware of his mortal life, but after he had been reaped something happened. Perhaps there was a Heretic cult who claimed him and thought him all the powers he knew or perhaps it was the Hierarchy now trying to infiltrate a group of potential renegades. Here are some really interesting seed planted and could be harvested later when he suddenly recovers some lost memory in scenes of flashbacks. Will he be scared by the fact that someone have sent him to do something that might harm his new friendship to the circle or will he accept the fact? Perhaps he has some really powerful friends among the Heretics or Hierarchy that he is not aware of, or perhaps he got some even more powerful enemies?
